Privacy policy

zstat.org ("this site") is a free statistics conversion and admissions-reference tool. This page explains what data is processed, which third-party services are used, and what choices you have.

1. What this site does not collect

This site has no accounts, no login and no registration forms. It does not request, collect or store your name, email address, phone number, or any other information that directly identifies you.

The values you enter into the calculators — scores, sample sizes, pasted raw data — are by default processed entirely within your own browser. They are never transmitted to a server and are never stored. The single exception is the AI analysis feature described in section 4.

2. Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use it — how many people visit, which tools are used most, and how long people stay. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device and collects the following types of anonymous or pseudonymised data:

• Pages viewed and time spent on them
• Approximate geographic location, usually to city or region level rather than a precise address
• Device type, browser, operating system and screen size
• Referring website — where you arrived from

This data is used to improve the site's content and usability, and is not used to identify individual visitors. The site also uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which collect aggregate page-performance data without cookies.

3. Advertising

This site displays advertising through Google AdSense to cover running costs. What you should know:

• Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• Third-party ad networks and ad-technology vendors other than Google may also serve ads on this site through Google's systems, using their own cookies.

4. The AI analysis feature

On the DSE, GSAT, hensachi, CSAT and Gaokao pages, this site offers an entirely optional "AI analysis" button. Its data flow is:

• Only at the moment you actively press that button is a summary of the results you entered — together with reference data built into this site — sent via this site's server to a third-party AI service (DeepSeek) for processing.
• What is sent is limited to the numbers and subject data for that one calculation. It contains nothing that identifies you.
• This site does not store your request or the AI's reply. Once the result is displayed, leaving or refreshing the page discards it.
• If you would prefer no data to leave your device at all, simply do not press the button — every other calculator on the site works exactly the same without it.

5. External links

This site cites primary sources from official bodies — JUPAS, university admission-score documents, ministry of education sites and others. Those sites have their own privacy policies; this site neither controls nor is responsible for how they handle data.

6. Children's privacy

This site is aimed primarily at students preparing for university admission and at educators, and its content is general and educational in nature. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Data security

The entire site is served over encrypted HTTPS. Because the site stores no personal user data and keeps no database of visitor records, the exposure from any data breach is inherently limited.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as features or regulations change. Updates take effect on this page immediately and the "last updated" date at the top will be revised. You are welcome to check back periodically.
