zstat.org is a free educational reference. The tools may contain errors. The university placement data is unofficial and approximate. Nothing here is professional advice, and you should verify anything that matters against an official source before acting on it.
2. Acceptance
By using zstat.org you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. These terms may be updated as the site changes; the revision date above will be updated when they are, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
3. What the site provides
zstat.org provides statistical calculators and reference information about university admission scoring systems in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and mainland China. It is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied — including any implied warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
4. Accuracy of statistical results
The calculators use published numerical algorithms documented on the methodology page, together with the specific methodological choices listed there — Student's rather than Welch's t-test, an uncorrected 2×2 chi-square, normal-approximation power analysis, and others. Those choices are appropriate in many situations and inappropriate in others, and the site cannot know which applies to your data.
You are responsible for confirming that the method a tool uses is suitable for your analysis. For work that will be submitted, published, assessed or otherwise relied upon, verify results in dedicated statistical software.
5. Accuracy of admission reference data
This is the area where misplaced reliance could do the most harm, so it is stated plainly:
- University placement bands are approximate, unofficial and historical. They are synthesised from public sources, they change every year, and they are not predictions.
- Per-programme admission figures are verified against published sources at the date shown, but admission requirements change, and a figure that was correct when recorded may not be current.
- Conversion rules (JUPAS points, hensachi, CSAT standard scores, GSAT indicators) are reproduced from public documentation and may be revised by the relevant authority at any time.
No result from this site should be used as the basis for an educational, financial or career decision without confirming it against the relevant official authority. Each admission page links directly to those authorities.
6. No professional advice
Nothing on zstat.org constitutes professional advice of any kind — statistical, educational, admissions, career, medical, legal or financial. The content is general and educational. For advice about your specific circumstances, consult an appropriately qualified person or the institution concerned.
7. No affiliation
zstat.org is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorised by JUPAS, the HKEAA, Taiwan's College Entrance Examination Center, KICE, Japan's National Center for University Entrance Examinations, China's Ministry of Education, or any university, examination authority, or preparatory institution. Names of institutions and examinations are used descriptively, and any trade marks remain the property of their owners.
8. The optional AI analysis feature
The admission pages offer an optional AI analysis button. Its output is generated by a third-party language model, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and carries no greater authority than the rest of the site — less, in fact, since it is generated rather than verified. It is a convenience, not a source. The data flow is described in the privacy policy; if you would prefer nothing to leave your device, simply do not press the button, and every other tool on the site works exactly as before.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of zstat.org accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, this site — including decisions made on the basis of any calculation or reference figure it displays. Because the site is provided free of charge, you take on the risk of relying on it.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Acceptable use
You may use the calculators freely for personal, educational and research purposes, including in coursework and publications. You may link to any page.
Please do not: scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for others; republish its reference tables wholesale as if they were your own or as if they were official; or present output from this site as verified or authoritative admission information.

This site links to official examination authorities, universities and academic sources. Those sites are outside its control, and it is not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices.
12. Availability
The site may be unavailable, changed or discontinued at any time without notice. No guarantee of continued availability is offered.
13. Language
These terms were written in English and translated into Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean and Japanese for your convenience. If there is any inconsistency or conflict between the English version and a translation, the English version prevails.
